50 Ways To Say Goodbye

I've been wanting to blog about my recent favorite songs but as always, I tend to procrastinate. The momentum or mood to blog had recently going down. What worst is I even slows down or rather have not been reading for quite sometime. Reading helps to improve in our language, broadens our thinking etc but I find it hard to overcome my procrastination.

I do not have his new album yet but I hope to be able to purchase it soon. I found this song "forgive me" while browsing Youtube. But I honestly think that Maher sound totally different in this song. I love this song as the message convey has always as expected managed to touched my heart with the meaningful lyrics.

The lyrics are simple but leave a deep meaning. My definition of this song; We should seize every opportunity that we have. To love and appreciate our mum before it's too late.

Listening to this song reminds me of my mum. How I wish she's still around. Her passing was truly a shocking news for me. It was a setback in my life.

Lagu "cenderawasih" adalah lagu "paling power" yang pernah aku dengar. Teringat lagi, sewaktu kecil, lagu ini merupakan antara lagu yang paling digemari. 90-an, this song is a hitz on the radio! Malah, sampai sekarang, rasanya tak jemu mendengar lagu ini. Terkesan sangat syahdu. Kalau tak percaya, dengarlah video di bawah ini.

Ape yang aku tahu, kumpulan 2D merupakan penyanyi tanah air kita sendiri, Singapura. Aku tak begitu tahu tentang perkembangan mereka. Kalau tak silap, kumpulan ini dah pun berpecah membawa haluan masing-masing. SUDAH agak lama tidak dengar berita kumpulan ini.

Lebih tujuh tahun lalu, apabila kumpulan ini membuat keputusan mahu 'merehatkan' diri daripada persada seni kerana tugasan masing-masing, peminat agak kecewa kerana kumpulan ini sedang memuncak dan lagu mereka menjadi kegemaran.

Bercakap dengan ahli kumpulan 2D, nama yang digarap daripada konsep memberi dimensi kedua kepada lagu dikir popular seperti Cenderawasih, Bonda Kusanjung, Ayah Kuagung dan Seindah Syurgawi baru-baru ini - meniupkan keyakinan pada setiap ahli.

Tetapi setelah segala urusan yang menyekat perjalanan mereka diselesaikan, 2D bertemu semula tanpa diduga dalam satu persembahan.

Lebih manis lagi, Adeep, yang kini aktif bersama The Fabulous Cats (TFC) di Kuala Lumpur, turut sama dalam persembahan reunion itu.

'Gembira dapat berkumpul semula kerana sudah agak lama tidak buat persembahan bersama,' ujar Adeep di sesi pertemuan.

'Seronok kerana peminat masih sukakan lagu kami. Pada masa yang sama, walaupun bergerak secara solo sekarang, persembahan ini tetap bermakna,' jelas Rifa'ah Ridzuwanul Hakim, anggota termuda 2D.

Tidak terdapat sebarang hambatan ketika mereka menerima undangan yang bertepatan dengan ulang tahun ke-11 penubuhan kumpulan ini pada Julai 1999 dan kelahiran album Epilog Cinta Terlarang serta Dimensi II pada tahun yang sama.

Di akhir persembahan, purata ahli kumpulan ini tetap berasa lega kerana memenuhi jangkauan penganjur serta menghiburkan para peminat.

Seperti kata Zainal Ismail: 'Inilah antara persembahan yang tidak banyak tekanan tetapi tetap berkesan kerana kami berkumpul semula.'

Adakah kemungkinan 2D akan bergabung semula secara tetap?

Soalan itu diajukan kepada Ruslighani Iskandar, jurucakap aktif 2D.

Beliau berkata: 'Kalau memang ada 'jodoh' dan diizinkan, mungkin kami ingin membuat satu persembahan eksklusif bagi para peminat yang masih sukakan muzik dan lagu kami.'

Agak memberangsangkan kerana penulis difahamkan Rifa'ah dan Rayhul Firdaus sahaja yang ketika ini sedang mengusahakan album masing- masing berkonsepkan sesuatu yang agak berlainan dengan genre muzik 2D.

'Tetapi tidak mustahil bagi kami satukan semua ini dalam satu persembahan kerana muzik menyatukan kami secara tidak langsung suatu masa dahulu,' ungkap Rayhul pula.

Yang rindukan kemunculan 2D, nantikan persembahan 'reunion' ini di sebuah rancangan televisyen yang akan disiarkan tidak lama lagi.

Ramadan 2011

This video had been posted about 2 months ago. I only get the time to view it now. As I've mentioned last month, I'm not goina write any post for this month. But I post this just for sharing since this is the month of Ramadhan. I find it peaceful to listen to this kind of music in this holy month. Perhaps that's the spirit of Ramadhan.
